WHEN PRAYING, DON'T GIVE GOD INSTRUCTIONS -- JUST REPORT FOR DUTY

1. Give God what's right -- not what's left.
2. Man's way leads to a hopeless end -- God's way leads to an endless hope.
3. A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.
4. He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.
5. In the sentence of life, the devil may be a comma --but never let him be the period.
6. Don't put a question mark where God puts a period.
7. Are you wrinkled with burden? Come to the church for a face-lift.
8. When praying, don't give God instructions -- just report for duty.
9. Don't wait for six strong men to take you to church.
10. We don't change God's message -- His message changes us.
11. The church is prayer-conditioned.
12. When God ordains, He sustains.
13. WARNING: Exposure to the Son may prevent burning.
14. Plan ahead -- It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
15. Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory position.
16. Suffering from truth decay? Brush up on your Bible.
17. Exercise daily -- walk with the Lord.
18. Never give the devil a ride -- he will always want to drive.
19. Nothing else ruins the truth like stretching it.
20. Compassion is difficult to give away because it keeps coming back.
21. He who angers you controls you.
22. Worry is the darkroom in which negatives can develop.
23. Give Satan an inch & he'll be a ruler.
24. Be ye fishers of men -- you catch them & He'll clean them.
25. God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
26. Read the Bible -- It will scare the hell out of you.

Have Faith And Believe God ....

THE SERENITY PRAYER

The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships
as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;

Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His will;
That I may be reasonably happy
in this life and supremely
happy with Him forever in the next.

Amen

THE LORD'S PRAYER

How Did The Lord Pray?

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil.

WHAT SHOULD WE CHRISTIANS PRAY ABOUT?

Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

It's the Christian's commission to pray about "ALL" things. Prayer moves the hand of God and with Him "All Things Are Possible."

1.) PRAY FOR PEACE - Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 Lead me from death to life, from falsehood to truth. Lead me from despair to hope, from fear to trust. Lead me from hate to love, from war to peace. Let peace fill our heart, our world, our universe. Peace. Peace. Peace.

2.) PRAY FOR AMERICA & THE WORLD - “And (if) My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

3.) PRAY FOR SALVATION - Dear Lord Jesus I am a sinner. I believe that you died for my sins. Right now I repent by turning away from sin and open the door of my heart and life to You. I receive You as my personal Lord and Savior. Through the help of the Holy Spirit I will serve you all the days of my life.

4.) PRAY FOR SPIRITUAL WISDOM - For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; Colossians 1:9

5.) PRAY FOR ISRAEL - The Bible promises that those who bless Israel and the Jewish people will themselves be blessed - Genesis 12:3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

6.) PRAY FOR A SICK FRIEND - And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:15-16 (KJV)

7.) PRAY FOR KNOWING GOD'S WILL - For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Colossians 1:9-12 (KJV)

8.) PRAY FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH - But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18

9.) PRAY FOR COMFORT DURING LOSS - The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18 (KJV) --- Dear Lord, Please help me in this time of loss and overwhelming grief. I don't understand why my life is filled with this pain and heartache. But I turn my eyes to you as I seek to find the strength to trust in your faithfulness. I will wait on you and not despair; I will quietly wait for your salvation. My heart is crushed, but I know that you will not abandon me forever. Please show me your compassion, Lord. Help me through the pain so that I will hope in you again. I believe this promise in your Word to send me fresh mercy each day. Though I can't see past today, I trust your great love will never fail me. Amen

10.) PRAY FOR COPING WITH FEAR - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) Dear Lord, My fear has trapped and consumed me. But I am tired of living under the weight of my fears. I believe the verses that reassure me of your presence and confirm that you are able to deliver me from my trouble. Please give me your love and your power to replace these fears. Your perfect love casts out my fear. I thank you for promising to give me the peace that only you can give. I receive that peace now as I ask you to still my troubled heart. Because you are with me, I don't have to be afraid. Amen

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE HAVE TO SAY ABOUT PRAYER?

2.) Romans 1:9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

9.) Philemon 1:4 I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,

10.) James 5:16 - The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PRAY?

The Holy Spirit will help you in prayer when you don't know how to pray.

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:26-27 (KJV)

Have you struggled with prayer? Does prayer seem like a complicated speech exercise ?

Prayer is not a mysterious practice reserved only for clergy and the religiously devout. Prayer is simply communicating with God - listening and talking to him. Believers can pray from the heart, freely, and in their own words. Talk to God just like you would to your best friend; because that's who He is: Your Best Friend!

WHY SHOULD I PRAY?

The Lord Instructed Us to Pray.

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Luke 18:1 (KJV)

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 1Timothy 2:8 (KJV)

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41 (KJV)

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Ephesians 6:18 (KJV)

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Matthew 7:7 (KJV)

Prayer Develops Our Relationship with God.

If we never speak to our spouse or never listen to anything they have to say to us, our marriage would be in trouble. It's the same way with God. Communicating with God through prayer, helps us grow closer to God and have a more intimate connection with Him. If we never talk to God, we lose our conncetion and intimacy with Him and our relationship would be in trouble.
